This is a difficult situation to be in. However, you are the cleaner and in charge of your workspace for the most part. Cleaner must take control of the situation. Period.
- Ask kids or guest firmly to please stay in one area –“Hi [person] would it be possible for you and your kiddos to stay in one area while I work. For safety reason and so I can finish on time’
- If it’s pets “Hi, do you think you can put the dog up. He’s getting into my caddy and taking things. I don’t want him to get hurt by or tools”
- If a client or other person is in an area that you are ready to clean. You can skip area and move on. Do not go back and clean. Let office know by text at the end of your job. Office will deal with it.
- If client or other person is cooking in the kitchen skip the whole area that the person is in and move on. Do not go back and clean it. Text office at the end of job.
