I Ran Out of Cleaner / I Left My Bottle Behind”
1. If you’re already inside the client’s home
Take a calm scan of the usual supply spots:
• Laundry room cabinets
• Under the kitchen sink
• Pantry or utility shelves
Use anything appropriate the client already has. Most homes have:
• Dish soap
• All‑purpose spray
• Glass cleaner
• A basic kitchen cleaner
These are perfectly fine to get the job done.
2. If you’re at home
Grab something from your personal cleaning supplies as a temporary backup.
Use it for the day, then refill your RCC bottles at the next opportunity.
3. If you’re in route
Stop at the nearest store and purchase the cleaner you need.
Bring the receipt — the office will reimburse you.
4. If you truly have no cleaner at all
You can still clean effectively:
• Dusting: rag + water
• Surfaces: Windex or any kitchen spray
• Scrubbing: water + elbow grease works surprisingly well
• Dish soap: a tiny drop mixed with water cleans almost anything
You are never stuck — there is always a way to keep moving.
5. Before leaving ANY job
Do a quick caddy check:
• Are all bottles full
• Do you have your rags
• Do you have your tools
• Do you have your backup items
This prevents 99% of “I forgot my cleaner” moments.
