If you get a flat tire while heading to or leaving a client’s home. Follow these steps so the office and client know what’s happening and you get help quickly. We do not call out of work for a flat tire. Tire gets fixed and we proceed to work
- Pull over to a safe spot
- Immediately send a text message to the office text to notify the office -this allows the office to contact client and make arrangements
- Share your ETA (estimated time arrival) with the office for when the tire may be fixed or changed
- Check with your insurance company to ee if you have Roadside assistance (AAA, Geico, USAA, etc…)
- Call Roadside Assistance immediately if you have coverage
- Update the office again with your ETA once you know how long the repair will take
Safety Note:
- Stay in a safe location while waiting for help
- If possible, pull over to a well-lit, secure area away from traffic
- Never attempt to change your tire yourself if it feels unsafe
Following these steps is the correct way to handle the situation because it keeps the client informed, ensures your safety, and allows the office to adjust the schedule if needed
