How to Clean Lamps & Lamp Shades
- Dust the lamp first
Use a feather duster to remove loose dust from the lamp base and shade. - Dust the outside of the lamp shade
Sweep the duster gently around the exterior surface. - Dust the inside of the lamp shade
Roll the feather duster into the inner part of the shade and move in a circular motion to lift dust. - Dust the light bulb -To hand clean bulb make sure bulb is off and cool
Light bulbs collect dust quickly—dust them gently to avoid smudges. - Dust the lamp stand
Work from top to bottom so dust doesn’t fall onto areas you’ve already cleaned. - Hand‑clean when needed
After dusting, use a lightly damp microfiber cloth to wipe the inside and outside of the lamp shade. - Clean the lamp stand thoroughly
Wipe all surfaces of the lamp stand, working your way down to the base. - Wipe the cord
Run a lightly damp cloth along the cord to remove dust and buildup.
Vacuum lampshade -you may also choose to vacuum lampshade with vacuum attachment
