How to Clean Stainless Steel Appliances
1. Prep the Surface
• Make sure the appliance is cool and dry.
• Do a quick dust or crumb wipe with a dry microfiber cloth.
2. Identify the Grain
• Stainless steel has a visible “grain” (lines running up‑down or side‑side).
• Always clean WITH the grain, never against it.
3. Clean the Surface
• Lightly spray your approved stainless cleaner onto a microfiber cloth (never directly on the appliance unless it’s very dirty).
• Wipe in long, smooth motions following the grain.
• For smudges or fingerprints, fold the cloth and use a slightly dampened section.
4. Detail the Handles & Edges
• Handles collect oils — wipe them thoroughly with the damp cloth.
• Don’t forget the sides, bottom lip, and control panel area (if applicable).
• For tight edges, use the corner of your cloth.
5. Buff to Shine -if needed
• Use a dry, clean microfiber cloth to buff the surface.
• Buff in the same direction as the grain until streak‑free.
6. Spot Fixing
• For stuck‑on spots, apply a little more pressure with the damp cloth and repeat the motion.
• Never use abrasive pads, scrubbers, or powders — they will scratch the finish.
7. Final Check
• Step back and look from different angles to catch streaks or missed areas.
• Re‑buff if needed.
