1. Assess in 2 Seconds
• Step pedal squeaking or not spinning → keep going, finish the floor as best as possible.
• Handle bent or partially broken → keep using it, even if you need to bend slightly.
2. If Mop Is Fully Unusable
• Look for the client’s mop.
• If a client has one → use it.
3. If No Client Mop Available
• Call the office for a backup mop system.
4. If Floors Are Small (Before Calling Office)
• Switch to hands‑and‑knees cleaning:
• Fill bucket with Dawn + water
• Grab clean rags
• Hand‑mop the floors
5. Report the Issue
• Text the office about the broken mop/bucket when clocking out of the home.
- Office will have you come in the next morning for a new mop system
