Time‑Off & Communication Expectations
I will be taking time off moving forward. My father has stage 4 prostate cancer, and I want to spend as much time with him as I can. I will also be taking time off for other reasons. When I say I’m unavailable that could mean, I’m with my dad, I’m taking the day off for rest, I’m working in a location that has no service, I’m in a work meeting all day. Who knows. It doesn’t matter why I’m not available, what matters is I’m not disturbed by things that can be handled without me. I’m always available for true emergencies.
I’ve built this company to be self‑running for the most part. That includes your role. I’ve set every one of you up for success with the micro moves and resources in the Team Portal, checklists, notes in client profiles. If you have a question, the answer is almost always already there. If it is not, that is when you contact the office.
I’m human. I may forget something once in a while, but in general, you already have the answers you need.
When I say I’m not available, that means:
• Do not text me questions
• Do not call me
• Unless it is a true emergency
Examples to make this crystal clear:
Non‑Emergency Examples (Do NOT contact me)
• “Where do I find the micro move for ___?”
• “What do I do if a client isn’t home?”
• “How do I clock in/out?”
• “What’s the code for the lockbox?”
• “I’m running late, what should I do?”
• “I forgot how to do the oven/stainless/glass protocol.”
These answers are all in the Team Portal or can be handled by the office.
True Emergency Examples (You MAY contact me)
• A major safety issue (injury, break‑in, unsafe environment)
• A car accident while on the clock
• A client’s home is damaged in a way that requires immediate leadership involvement
• Anything involving police, fire, or medical response
• A situation where someone’s safety is at risk and immediate direction is needed
Please keep this card in your caddie at all times.
If you contact me for a non‑emergency, I will direct you back to this card.
