DUSTING THE HOME
1. Pick a starting point, work your way around the room back to starting point, Top to Bottom, Left to Right
2. Start high, dust high window sills, hanging lights (not chandeliers) ceiling fans, blinds, high TVs, high bed frames, picture frames on walls etc…
3. Back to the starting point- spray cloth and dust coffee tables, end tables, tv stand, desk, dressers, low window sills, wipe/dust picture frames, knick knacks, remotes etc…
- Use duster and dust baseboards, underneath furniture as you go around the room dusting -do this simultaneously as you are dusting
- Dust windows/blinds, tracks, lock ledges, sills (spot clean as needed)
4. Electronics- DO NOT SPRAY CLEANER DIRECTLY ON ELECTRONICS
5. Vacuum (vacuum when you go to vacuum floors) or wipe down with damp cloth all couches and chairs, straighten pillows, fold blankets
6. Spray down sliding glass doors and wipe from side to side then buff up and down, clean door handle, repeat outside of door if applicable; includes French doors, wipe/dust and or vacuum door tack (on maintenance clean dust glass and spot clean)
7. Clean door handles and surrounding area. Dust door and door frames
8. Clean light switch plates and dust plug plates
- Do all this simultaneously as you go around the rooms
9. Floors- vacuum, edge carpet around baseboards and low furniture (on maintenance cleans we only dust with feather duster edge of carpet and in between furniture)
10. Vacuum nice lines (work your way out of room so you have no footprints
11. Never slide knick knacks, picture frames, lamps etc… on tables and dressers. ALWAYS PICK UP
