There are times when we have to leave work to pick up our injured or sick child from school. However, we do not end the workday because of it.
- When you first get the notification that your child needs to be picked up -call someone family member or friend to help out. Whether that be they can pick up child or can babysit child when you take child home -Set up an emergency babysitter for such times
- This above solution will eliminate all kinds of problems for everyone involved
- Contact office after you have made arrangements with babysitter and client (if client is home)
- Tell client that you will be back in an hour or so to take care of child. Most clients are understanding. If client not home. Use app to call or text them
- Text office of the situation and go take care of business. Text office when you are back at work
- Clock in and out of Big clock and client job then back in once you are back at work
- If it’s a very serious emergency (child needs to be taken to the hospital (dr note is required) Tell client, call office and we will make arrangements to reschedule client
